What youll be doing

As a Senior HR Business Partner youll support Commercial Banking and Wealth Management by translating business needs into HR solutions while simplifying and modernizing HR policies and practices.Youll use your Human Resources experience to advise on HR functions such as performance management rewards and recognition talent management and employee relations. Youll give people managers and their teams the tools and support they need to best serve our clients.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where youll spend 1-3 days per week on-site while other days will be remote.

How youll succeed

  • Strategic Consulting - Consult with managers to make decisions that align to CIBCs values adhere to HR policies and meet legislative requirements. Collaborate with HR groups to solve complex workplace and performance management issues coordinate compliance and audit reviews and escalate risk issues when required.
  • Driving Business Value - Understand the priorities and operating environment of your client group and develop and implement an HR plan grounded in their business strategy. Align talent-related practices and resources to your client groups objectives and CIBCs priorities.
  • Delivering on HR Initiatives - Support and coordinate HR initiatives related to performance management talent planning and compensation reviews. Use your knowledge of program management to plan manage and implement projects that unlock the potential of our human capital and enhance CIBCs reputation and position in the market.
