Job Summary

The Heavy Equipment Operator Technician supports sitelogistics grounds operations and material movement activities byoperatingandmaintainingheavy equipment used in the handling transport and staging of equipment materials and supplies. This position helps ensure safe and efficient movement of site assetsin accordance withfederal safety regulations andinstallationoperating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including forklifts front-end loaders bulldozers graders backhoes and rough terrain forklifts.

• Transport load and unload equipment materials and suppliesin accordance withsafety regulations.

• Perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on assigned equipment.

• Inspect storage areas roadways and loading zones to ensure safe operational conditions.

• Support inventory control material handling and warehouse operations.

• Follow all Department of Defense and installation-specific safety standards.

• Maintain operational logs inspection records and maintenance documentation.

• Assistwithgroundsmaintenance site upkeep and other operational support tasks asrequired.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of heavy equipment operating experience.

• Experience operating construction or material handling equipment in industrial military or warehouse environments.

• Valid state drivers license.

• Ability tolift upto 50 pounds.

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Knowledge of safety procedures related to material handling and site operations preferred.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience workingata military installation depot industrial site or other secure government environment.

• OSHA certification.

• Military heavy equipment experience.

• Commercial Drivers License (CDL)preferredbut notrequired.
