Job Summary
GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK
Under the supervision of the Principal plan organize and implement appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their potential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Teach students using a curriculum that includes assessment and review processes.
- Develop write and implement lesson plans that align with district and state education standards while tracking and maintaining records of student progress.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and staff to support student success.
- Adhere to and enforce school rules policies and procedures.
- Attend faculty meetings and participate in committees as needed.
- Complete additional school duties and assignments as required.
- Perform other school duties and assignments as appointed.
Qualifications
- Must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with appropriate endorsement.
- 10 month contract (200 days)
