Job Summary

The Human Resource Consulting Group is a woman-owned Connecticut based 36 year-old HR and payroll outsourcing company committed to providing high-touch service and expertise. Big enough to meet the HR needs of clients throughout the U.S. and small enough to care. We are looking for a customer-focused team-oriented HR Operations Manager to lead the operations team.

The HR Operations Manager leads the operational delivery of HRCGs HR Operations function within a high-touch fast paced outsourced HR services model. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient compliant and high-quality administration of HR operational services including benefits administration leave administration employee lifecycle transactions compliance reporting and tracking onboarding/offboarding and HR operational support for clients.

The HR Operations Manager oversees and develops the human resource operations team while ensuring consistent accurate and responsive service delivery across a diverse client base throughout the U.S. This role is responsible for building scalable processes establishing service level agreements (SLAs) implementing operational metrics and driving continuous improvement across HR workflows and systems.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on operational leader who combines deep HR operations expertise with strong leadership process improvement and client service skills.

Qualified Candidates will have:

  • B.S. in Human Resource Management or related subject
  • Professional certification - PHR/SPHR SHRM-CP/SCP
  • 5-10 years of progressive HR operations experience preferably in a shared services environment HR Consulting firm or outsourced HR services organization
  • Prior managerial experience and strong leadership skills with the ability to coach mentor and develop staff
  • Technical proficiency in HCM MS Office Teams reporting tools and digital collaboration tools
  • Solid understanding of HR operational processes workflows and compliance requirements
  • Ability to evaluate and improve processes for efficiency accuracy and scalability
  • High level of client service orientation and responsiveness
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • Deep knowledge of multi-state HR regulations leave laws benefits I-9 requirements ACA Workers Compensation and recordkeeping standards.

Position is On-site 4 days a week; Fridays are remote (except during training)
