Senior Analyst, Analytics

This role has a hybrid work arrangement (2-3 days a week in our NYC office).

The Senior Analyst Analytics supports indicative modeling activities for one primary market and supports structured financial analysis across Convergents energy storage portfolio under guidance from senior team members. This role supports modeling activities by contributing to accuracy responsiveness and analytical rigor under the guidance of senior team members.

The Senior Analyst builds foundational knowledge in market structures financial modeling methodologies and energy storage economics. This role works with Business Development Project Development Capital Markets (CM) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) stakeholders to deliver timely and accurate financial insights under the guidance of senior team members.

This is an individual contributor role and therefore does not have any direct reports.

What Youll Do

Financial Modeling and Analysis (75%)

oAssist in preparing and maintaining indicative financial models for one primary market under the direction of senior team members.

oAssist in updating model assumptions related to pricing tariffs capital expenditures operating performance and incentives under senior team guidance.

oSupport sensitivity analyses to evaluate project returns and financial risk exposure incorporating guidance from senior team members.

oIdentify straightforward issues in financial models and escalate them to senior members to improve reliability and analytical clarity.

oSupport debt and tax equity modeling inputs when aligned to Capital Markets (CM) initiatives.

oSupport liquidity forecasting and corporate financial model updates when aligned to Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) initiatives.

oMaintain version control documentation and modeling best practices.

Market Research and Strategic Insights (15%)

oAssist in gathering information on market rules tariff structures and regulatory updates impacting project economics.

oSupport evaluation of price forecasts and merchant exposure assumptions.

oCompile information to support preparation of internal summaries outlining financial implications of market developments under senior team guidance.

oContribute to updates of internal market assumption libraries.

Operational Excellence and Process Governance (10%)

oSupport structured modeling request coordination and workflow management.

oAssist in maintaining standardized modeling templates and internal tools.

oContribute to KPI tracking and structured assumption update cycles.

o Follow established analytical processes and documentation practices.

Required Qualifications

oBachelors degree in Finance Economics Engineering Mathematics or related quantitative field.

o13 years of experience in financial modeling renewable energy infrastructure or related analytical roles.

oStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel including building and troubleshooting financial models.

oSolid understanding of discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis and project return metrics.

oAbility to manage assigned modeling tasks to meet established deadlines.

oStrong analytical reasoning and attention to detail.

oEffective written and verbal communication skills.

o10% travel expected primarily for team events and company-wide meetings.

oAlignment with Convergents mission and strong interest in the clean energy transition.

Preferred Qualifications

oExposure to renewable energy markets or infrastructure finance.

oExperience supporting transaction modeling or corporate financial forecasting processes.

oFamiliarity with debt modeling or tax equity concepts.

oExperience working with large datasets or supplemental analytical tools.
