This is an exciting opportunity for someone interested in building a creative and engaging program that supports incoming Kindergarten students and their caregivers and encourages exploration learning and development of transferable and practical life skills for children. The successful candidate must have a vision for implementing high-quality and engaging summer programming that connects with school-based initiatives is strongly focused on student choice and continues to provide new learning and opportunities designed to maximize student engagement. Dynamic collaborative leadership skills are a must for success. The Coordinator responsibilities include: acting as the main liaison between the school the site and the Tapestry Office to align service offerings and program offerings that complement learning and youth development; managing the site operations effectively and efficiently while adhering to all safety and regulatory compliance; actively participating and contributing to the vision and administration of the Tapestry Program; recruiting and actively supervising program staff; overseeing and coordinating enrichment plans/programs designed to be enriching hands-on community-based academic and recreational that provide new high-quality experiences for children; promoting professional learning advancement and continuous quality improvement in concert with the Tapestry Programs leadership and establishing a safe and welcoming environment for all staff all children and all particulars Dates of operation: July 13th- August 7thHours of operation: 9:00 am 12:30 pm Monday - FridayAnticipated census: Up to 12 students at each Northeast and Northwest Primary Schools (Please note that eligibility criteria are established) Planning curriculum development and staff training will occur between April and early July. The program will operate in accordance with the State of Vermont Child Care regulations. All candidates must meet AOE and local qualifications including passing background checks.
