Job Summary
Direct Service Delivery:Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments for students referred for servicesDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEP goalsProvide direct physical therapy services to students in individual and group settingsDocument student progress and maintain accurate treatment recordsParticipate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Collaboration and Consultation:Work collaboratively with teachers special education staff occupational therapists speech therapists and other related service providersConsult with classroom teachers on adaptive equipment positioning and environmental modificationsProvide training and support to educational staff on proper handling techniques and therapeutic activitiesProfessional Responsibilities:Maintain compliance with all federal state and local regulations governing special education servicesParticipate in IEP meetings evaluation team meetings and other required meetingsComplete required documentation in accordance with district policies and timelinesStay current with best practices in pediatric physical therapy and school-based services
