An HR Officer in a construction company
manages the full employee lifecycle focusing on site-specific recruitment payroll for contractual/permanent staff statutory compliance (labor laws) and on-site welfare. They bridge the gap between management and field workers handling high-volume hiring safety training attendance and record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Onboarding:Source screen and onboard skilled construction workers engineers and staff.
- Payroll & Attendance:Manage daily attendance leaves and payroll processing for both office and site-based workers.
- Statutory Compliance:Ensure compliance with labor laws safety regulations and government-mandated benefits (social security health).
- Site Administration:Manage site-level HR issues including accommodation transport and welfare.
- Training & Development:Organize safety training and technical skill enhancement sessions.
- Employee Relations:Resolve grievances handle disciplinary actions and manage performance appraisals.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education:Bachelors degree in HR Business Administration or related field.
- Experience:Proven experience in HR preferably in construction or engineering sectors.
- Skills:Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS software strong knowledge of labor laws excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Specific Requirements:Ability to manage high-volume quick-turnaround staffing needs.
