Security Officer Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Goleta CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location you will complete mobile and foot patrols monitor assigned areas and document security-related activity. You will stay highly visible to help discourage incidents respond to alarms and/or calls for service and provide clear professional customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license supported by a caring team that acts with integrity.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including reporting hazards suspicious activity and process-area concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings process areas tank farms docks and perimeter routes documenting observations to help to deter unauthorized access and/or loss.
• Control access by checking identification logging visitors and contractors verifying deliveries and directing traffic flow in accordance with post orders.
• Complete timely written and electronic reports including shift activity logs incident documentation and maintenance or access issues and communicate updates during shift turnover.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
