As a Security Officer - Roving Patrol 21 in Washington DC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a cultural institution you will monitor galleries and public spaces conduct routine patrols stay visible to help to deter security-related concerns and support visitors with clear professional communication. You will document observations respond to incidents and partner with site staff to keep operations running smoothly. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of communication.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout galleries exhibit areas offices storage areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor flow assist with directions and general inquiries and help maintain orderly entry and exit during peak attendance and special events.
• Complete patrol and incident documentation report maintenance hazards and/or suspicious conditions and coordinate with onsite staff regarding security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be 21 Years of Age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
