Job Summary

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration or a combination of education/training/experience which provides an equivalent background.
Knowledge of the following; The Florida Statutes the State Board of Education Regulations Financial and Program Cost Accounting and Reporting for Florida Schools and Clay County School Board Policies as they relate to Internal Accounts.
Minimum of five (5) years successful experience in School Board internal accounts school bookkeeping.
Demonstrated evidence of strong organization and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate in oral and written communication and work with a diverse group of people.
Knowledge of current financial software internal accounts software and other applicable software.

BACKGROUND SCREENING:

All prospective employees must submit to a Level 2 background check pursuant to Florida State Statute 435.04 and be found eligible by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. The background check will include but is not limited to fingerprinting for statewide criminal history records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement national criminal history records checks through the Federal Bureau of Investigation local criminal records checks through local law enforcement agencies and a search of the sexual predator and sexual offender registries of any state in which the prospective employee resided during the immediate preceding 5 years.
