The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for a Development Assistant in the External Affairs Planning and Administration Department. Reporting to the Assistant Director Development Operations the incumbent serves as assistant for the Director of Planning and Administration and team providing a variety of administrative functions.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains the accuracy and integrity of the donor database including data entry updates and cleaning.
- Assists in the development and implementation of data management procedures and best practices.
- Processes incoming donations including gifts of cash securities and in-kind contributions.
- Prepares acknowledgement letters and receipts for donors.
- Assists with various administrative tasks such as filing photocopying and mailings.
- Supports the team in testing Salesforce enhancements as they are created and implemented.
- Completes the storage of digital and hard-copy donor documents for charitable contributions.
- Performs any other duties reasonably related to the functions described above.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree and one to three years related experience in a Development office or equivalent.
- Superior written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Budget and database experience preferred particularly Salesforce
- Interest in and knowledge of modern and contemporary art.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) Internet research and office procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team handling many projects simultaneously.
Salary: The salary for this position is $59424 (gross) per annum
