We are seeking a Medical ScienceLiaison(MSL)orSenior MSLtojoin our Hematologyteam in the territory of Northern CA NV UT S. ID WY! This role serves as the local medical voice of AZ in the disease area of interest and builds a local medical strategy to improve patient care and outcomes in their territory. The MSL is an established field-based professional with extensive scientific clinicaland therapeutic areaexpertiseresponsible for providing medical and scientific support for AstraZenecas oncology marketed products new indications for current products and compounds in development.

Whatyoulldo

• Act as the local medical leader responsible for developing a tailored strategy to meet the AZ USMA priorities in the disease area as well as the local specificities and patient needs.

• Develop strong working relationships in different external business settings (e.g.academia hospitals managed markets private practices)

• Lead scientific exchanges with oncologists and key members of the MDT.

• Lead peer-to-peer scientific/medical interactions

• Gather insights on the treatment landscape evolving healthcare environment and practice barriers tooptimaltreatment and opportunities to improve outcomes of patients with cancer

• Discuss with data and educational gaps with External Scientific Experts (ESEs) to ensure adequate use of our medicines and to inform our medical affairs strategy to address patient needs

• Stay current with scientific knowledge and attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences.

• Collaborate with Clin ops on trials from feasibility to execution

Minimum Qualifications

• Advanced scientific degree(i.e.PharmD MD/DO PhDPAor NP) in a relevant health science or clinical discipline

• Ability to express ideas clearly in written documentation one-on-one conversations and in small group dialogues

• Ability to navigate within a matrix environment

• 2 years of MSL experience or relevant therapeutic area experience

• Demonstratedexpertisein discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences

• Strong understanding of clinical study design and protocols

• Basic understanding of the Healthcare system clinical trialmethodologystatisticsand regulatory environment

• Excellent project management ability

• Ability to travel (40-60% by cartrainand planedomestic)

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate strongly preferred in a health science or clinical discipline

• Relevant hematology/oncology clinical experience

• Oncology Experience

The territory includesNorthern CA(San Francisco East Bay to Sacramento) NV UT SouthernIdaho (Boise metropolitan area) and WY.

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $174000 to $261000 . Our positions offer eligibility for various incentivesan opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles.
