Job Description
As a Security Officer - Community Patrol in Mechanicsville VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal at a government transportation location where you will conduct routine unarmed patrols and monitor assigned areas to help identify and report security-related concerns. You will maintain a visible presence support staff and visitors with professional customer service and communicate clearly with your team. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients at a government transportation location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings parking areas and perimeter zones; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor check-in identification verification and directing employees contractors and the public according to site rules.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including reporting hazards suspicious activity and policy violations through the designated chain of command.
- Complete detailed reports such as shift logs and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and/or site representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
