Job Description
As a Security Officer - Neighborhood Patrol in Saint Louis MO you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location you will monitor assigned areas through routine foot patrols maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents and respond to calls for assistance. You will document activity communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors and deliver service with integrity. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public resources as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings transit areas and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and public areas verify identification and/or credentials as required by post orders and document unusual activity.
- Complete detailed written reports and logs communicate key information during shift transitions and support security-related investigations as directed by site leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 1 years of security-related experience.
- Be 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Experience with handcuffs pepper spray and/or baton is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
