How youll contribute
Inspects installs repairs and replaces pipes fittings and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating water gas and drainage systems of hospital facilities.
Installs repairs and maintains plant plumbing systems including domestic hot and cold water sewer and drain systems and their related equipment devices and fixtures.
Installs repairs and maintains other plumbing related systems including hydronic and steam heating systems chilled water-cooling systems lawn sprinkler systems and their related equipment devices and fixtures.
Installs repairs and maintains specialty systems including RO and de-ionized water systems medical gas systems fire protection systems and their related equipment devices and fixtures.
Troubleshoot problems in plumbing and mechanical equipment and systems.
Assembles installs repairs and maintains other various Mechanical systems and equipment.
Assists and acts as a resource for other maintenance staff with regard to mechanical and plumbing problems and issues
Reads interprets and utilizes blueprints and schematics as required for job performance. Utilizes applicable plumbing mechanical and building codes.
Maintains records logs and files as required.
Assumes the role of charge person when requested.
Assist with orientation and training of personnel and students.
Participates and attends meetings as required and/ or assigned.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Licensed Plumber Required
Valid Driver License Required
2 years post high school vocational/ specialized training
- 3 years related work experience Required
Required Skills:Critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Schedule: Monday Friday 7:00 AM 3:30 PM. Rotating on-call schedule.
