Software Development Engineer II, AWS Fintech

AWS FinTech is looking for a results-oriented innovative software development engineer who can help us create the next generation of distributed scalable financial systems that support Amazons current and future business needs.

We need someone to design and develop services that facilitate global financial transactions worth billions (USD) annually.

We are seeking a bar-raising customer-obsessed software engineer who demonstrates deep technical expertise and a relentless drive to innovate. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable high-performance distributed systems with hands-on experience in service-oriented architectures. You are a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity can rapidly prototype solutions and consistently delivers high-quality code that meets Amazons rigorous standards.

Your ability to lead cross-functional teams make data-driven decisions and solve complex technical challenges will be critical to success in this role. If you are passionate about building transformative technology and have the technical depth to dive deep into intricate system design we want you to help us continue inventing on behalf of our customers.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1 years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1 years of designing and developing large-scale multi-tiered multi-threaded embedded or distributed software applications tools systems and services using: C# C Java or Perl experience
- 1 years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineering Mathematics or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
