PAY GRADE:Teacher Salary Scale

ACE STIPEND:$5000 Annual ACE Instructional Support Stipend (in accordance withthe

District ACE Compensation Plan)

PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Interventionist Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) Campus provides targeted instructional support to accelerate student learning and close academic gaps in reading and mathematics. The Interventionist works collaboratively with campus leadership teachers and instructional coaches to implement evidence-based intervention strategies aligned with the Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) turnaround model.

The Interventionist plays a key role in supporting the campus instructional program by delivering targeted interventions monitoring student progress supporting data-driven instruction andassistingteachers in strengthening instructional practices that improve student outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate ECor appropriate certification for assignment

Preferred

  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful classroom teaching experience
  • Experience providing targeted academic interventions in reading and mathematics
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • Experience supporting teachers through instructional coaching or collaboration

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of effective instructional strategies in reading and mathematics
  • Knowledge of intervention strategies designed to support struggling learners
  • Ability to analyze student performance data to guide instructional decisions
  • Excellent motivational skills when working with students and teachers
  • Experience supporting teacher instructional practices through collaboration
  • Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers administrators and instructional coaches
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Instructional Support and Student Intervention

  • Provide targeted intervention instruction to students who are not meeting grade-level academic standards.
  • Deliver small-group and individual intervention services aligned with campus instructional priorities.
  • Implement research-based intervention strategies designed to accelerate student learning.
  • Assist in bridging gaps in reading and mathematics achievement for students performing below grade level.
  • Support the implementation of literacy and numeracy strategies that strengthen foundational academic skills.

Data Analysis and Progress Monitoring

  • Monitor student progress through formative assessments and intervention tracking systems.
  • Track student performance and intervention effectiveness at regular intervals (every three weeks or as required by campus systems).
  • Analyze student performance data to adjust intervention strategies and support improved outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and intervention services.

Collaboration with Teachers and Instructional Teams

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure alignment between intervention instruction and core classroom instruction.
  • Support teachers in implementing strategies that strengthen student learning and address skill gaps.
  • Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and campus instructional planning meetings.
  • Work with instructional coaches and campus leadership to support implementation of the ACE instructional model.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Maintain professionalism in conduct communication and work ethic.
  • Participate in professional development activities to strengthen instructional practices and intervention strategies.
  • Remain current in research-based instructional practices related to student intervention and academic acceleration.
  • Participate in all required professional development and training which may occur within or outside the regular instructional day or employee work calendar as part of the ACE instructional model.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned in support of campus and district goals.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing stooping bending kneeling pushing and pulling. Move small stacks of textbooks media equipment desks and other classroom or adaptive equipment. May be required to lift and position students with physical disabilities and manage student behavior as necessary.

The position may require participation in professional development collaborative planning sessions and instructional meetings beyond the standard school day as part of the ACE instructional model.
