Job Description
As a Security Officer - Flex Access Control in Manassas VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures issuing visitor credentials and directing individuals to approved areas.
- Monitor entry and exit points verify identification and authorization and maintain visitor and vehicle logs to support security-related documentation requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including initiating site emergency response activities and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility including interior spaces and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
- Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV alarms and access control panels and complete accurate reports and shift hand-offs per post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- This is primarily a driving post.
- CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
