We are seeking an experienced RA Officer to join our growing team in Bilthoven.
Position Overview
The S&OP Manager is responsible for overseeing the Sales & Operations Planning process to ensure alignment between sales operations and supply chain teams. This role focuses on balancing supply and demand ensuring component availability and optimizing inventory to meet customer demand efficiently.
In addition to strategic planning responsibilities the S&OP Manager also has operational responsibilities within the supply chain including oversight of logistics activities such as pick pack and ship to ensure timely product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Oversee the Sales & Operations Planning process aligning supply and demand forecasts.
- Monitor inventory levels and capacity utilization while ensuring component availability to meet production schedules.
- Identify potential bottlenecks within the rolling 24-month planning horizon and define mitigation plans in collaboration with production supply chain purchasing and commercial teams.
- Work closely with sales operations and supply chain teams to optimize overall performance.
Demand & Supply Planning
- Collaborate with marketing and finance to develop accurate sales forecasts.
- Work with supply chain procurement and production teams to ensure component availability material planning and effective inventory management.
- Develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks such as component shortages or lead-time variability.
- Monitor performance metrics related to inventory levels service levels and forecast accuracy.
Inventory & Component Availability Management
- Ensure that all required components raw materials and finished goods are available on time to meet production and customer demand.
- Manage inventory levels to optimize working capital while preventing stockouts or excess inventory.
- Oversee replenishment strategies and safety stock levels to maintain a consistent flow of materials.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to component availability and inventory health.
Operational Supply Chain Responsibilities
Purchase Order Management
- Act as a backup for the Supply Chain Officer in placing purchase orders (POs) for raw materials components and finished goods.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely order processing and confirmed delivery schedules.
- Track and expedite open purchase orders to ensure the timely arrival of goods.
Processing Incoming Raw Materials
- Oversee the receipt and processing of incoming raw materials used in production.
- Ensure inspection and quality control procedures are followed upon material arrival.
- Collaborate with warehouse and quality assurance teams to verify the quality and quantity of incoming materials.
- Manage and resolve discrepancies related to material deliveries or quality issues with suppliers.
Shipment Preparation & Logistics
- Coordinate and prepare shipments for both inbound and outbound logistics ensuring compliance with customer requirements and internal processes.
- Work closely with warehouse teams to oversee pick pack and ship operations.
- Generate shipping documentation such as bills of lading packing lists and invoices.
- Liaise with freight forwarders and carriers to arrange transportation and monitor shipment status.
Inventory Control & Management
- Ensure accurate inventory management and maintain reliable records of all materials and components.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse staff to support proper stock management and order fulfillment.
- Maintain critical stock levels and flag potential shortages for immediate action.
- Work closely with procurement and production teams to manage inventory replenishment and minimize stockouts.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management Business or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in supply chain management procurement or logistics.
Skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle both strategic S&OP responsibilities and operational tasks related to purchasing and shipping.
- Excellent communication and vendor management skills also in the English language
- Lead prepare and present the Global S&OP and S&OE meetings
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time-sensitive tasks effectively.
- Understanding of procurement logistics and inventory control processes.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to resolve supply chain and procurement issues quickly.
- Familiar with Power BI and other supply chain related software
