DESCRIPTION:

As Head of Field Services at Thermo Fisher Scientific Israel you will play a pivotal strategic role in establishing and scaling Thermo Fishers field service organization in Israel.

This executive-level position and first hire requires you to design and implement a comprehensive service operating model and organization structure encompassing systems processes service coverage and talent strategy.

You will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing team of field service engineers directly impacting the success of Thermo Fishers operations in Israel.

In this senior management position youll guide a talented team delivering exceptional service support for sophisticated scientific equipment and systems. This role involves managing field service operations enhancing customer satisfaction and achieving business objectives. Youll develop and implement service strategies oversee installation maintenance and repair activities while building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

You will be accountable for service delivery operational excellence and customer satisfaction working closely with commercial operations and global service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. Through this role you will enable reliable high-quality support that helps our customers make the world healthier cleaner and safer.

Working closely with commercial teams youll identify new business opportunities and ensure service excellence. This role offers opportunities to advance service delivery while contributing to our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier cleaner and safer.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience or bachelors degree plus 8 years of experience in technical service operations or related industry with proven expertise in complex system troubleshooting and repair
• Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering Sciences Business or related field
• Additional technical certifications beneficial
• 5 years of demonstrated management experience leading field service teams
• Experience managing multi-million-dollar P&L responsibility
• Experience developing and implementing service strategies to drive growth and operational excellence
• Strong business acumen with ability to analyze financial metrics and drive profitability
• Strong leadership skills with ability to build mentor and develop teams
• Excellent project management and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong customer relationship management skills
• Demonstrated success in enhancing customer satisfaction and service quality
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma PPI)
• Advanced communication and presentation skills in English
• Proficiency with business software applications (MS Office CRM ERP systems)
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization across multiple stakeholders
• Ability to travel out of the country 20%
• Valid drivers license and ability to travel up to 50% within assigned territory inside the country
• Additional language skills preferred
• Experience with scientific instrumentation laboratory environments or regulated industries preferred
• Work days Sunday - Thursday
