The role: Head of Controls Transformation & Governance
Asset Management 1st Line Risk
We are seeking a highly capable leader to drive the governance reporting and control enhancement agenda across our Asset Management business. Sitting at the centre of the 1st Line Risk function and reporting directly to the Chief Controls Officer for Asset Management this role acts as a critical strategic partner - helping shape influence and elevate the control environment across a complex global organisation.
This is a pivotal hire within the management team. The individual will operate as a trusted adviser senior operator and thought leader working closely with executives frontoffice leadership central functions and the Group Risk community to deliver a resilient wellgoverned and sustainably embedded control environment.
Role Overview
You will lead the governance and reporting for Asset Managements 1st Line Risk team ensuring transparency quality and consistency of insight across committees forums and boards. Alongside this you will colead the 3year Control Enhancement Programme shaping its delivery ensuring momentum across workstreams and enhancing how controls operate day to day across our business.
You will have significant exposure to senior stakeholders complex decision-making forums and broad organisational priorities - offering a unique platform to influence the evolution of risk management in Asset Management.
As a central point for many of the firms most material risk topics this role provides direct visibility of Board and Executive priorities. While we are seeking someone with proven Asset Management experience the role offers a panoramic view across the business and the Lines of Defence shaping how risks are governed and managed at an enterprise level.
