Job Summary

Job Description:
An IT/Support Officerinstalls configures and maintains computer systems networks and software providing crucial technical support to users via phone remote access or in-person. They troubleshoot hardware/software faults manage user accounts document issues and ensure operational security.
Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support:Provide 1st/2nd line support for hardware software and network issues.
  • Installation & Maintenance:Set up configure and update workstations printers and peripheral equipment.
  • System Administration:Manage user accounts active directory security patches and data backups.
  • Troubleshooting:Diagnose system errors network issues and software bugs providing timely solutions.
  • Documentation:Maintain records of hardware/software inventory service tickets and technical procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Education:Generally requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field; sometimes an associate degree or relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A Network) are accepted.
  • Technical Knowledge:Proficiency in Windows/Mac OS networking fundamentals and Microsoft Office/365.
  • Soft Skills:Strong communication patience problem-solving abilities and customer service skills.
  • Experience:Previous experience in IT support or help desk roles is commonly required.
