The Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer with Worley you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

• The Candidate will work under Global Integrated Delivery (GID) model along with multiple international offices. It is desirable to have work experience with personnel of different nationalities.
• Comply with the Quality and EHS policies from the project business unit and corporate within the own area of responsibility.
• Ensure a coordinated approach in all areas with the other Engineering Activities.
• Take over project from the offer-team review/comment and reach agreement on the actual project documentation - Scope of supply and Division of Work.
• Represent engineering scope of supply and services in the project-team and in technical meetings with the customer.
• Manage the team in charge of the engineering scope of supply and/or services assigned.
• Make the contract review and issues risk sheets design reviews needs concepts needs.
• Provide input for the preparation of the Engineering Schedule.
• Preparation of capacity planning and subsequent staffing according to the project requirements.
• Conduct start-up meeting with the assigned engineers.

Other Attributes:

• Ensure the follow-up of the engineering progress processes and the corresponding work instructions.
• Ensure communication within the team and other projects teams.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager / Project Engineering Manager and other projects LE the information workflow and mitigate in case of problems.
• Ensure on time delivery of project specific engineering documentation according to the valid work instructions with regards to project and contractual requirements.
• Identify plan and conduct Design Reviews and the Design Freeze and ensure that corrective actions defined by the Design Reviews are closed on time.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

• Candidate with 15 years of experience in detail engineering and design of Power projects. The candidate shall have demonstrated experience leading a team of engineers and designers. Capable of doing interdisciplinary coordination especially with process discipline.
• Minimum BE in Mechanical Engineering with 15 years of relevant work experience in an engineering consultancy company.
• Experience of developing Heat and Mass Balance Diagram for combined cycle power plants.
• Conceptual Design of power plant and experience to optimize combined cycle power project configuration with GTG STG and balance of plant.
• Thorough experience of Gas Turbine Generator (GTG) and Steam Turbine Generator (STG) Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG) Air Cooled Condensers (ACC) Boiler Feed Pump (BFP) Condensate Transfer Pump (CEP) and other Power cycle equipment and systems.
• Support process lead in P&ID development Design Criteria Design calculations for main plant and balance of plant systems.
• Experience of complete procurement cycle of main plant equipment GTG STG HRSG BFP CEP etc. which includes development of tender technical specifications technical bid evaluation and post award review engineering of vendor packages.
• Intra and interdisciplinary coordination and associated interface engineering.
