Job Summary

Penney High School is seeking a dynamic instrumental music teacher to join our team of dedicated educators for the 2026-2027 school year. Coaching/Sponsor opportunities could be available as well. Penney High School is located in Hamilton MO which is about 40 miles East of St. Joseph MO at the intersection of 36 Highway and Highway 13. We have an enrollment of approximately 180 students. Course load is The position includes teaching 6th grade band 7th grade band 8-12 grade band a few music electives and 5th grade music. PHS is on a block schedule which allows for 90 minutes of plan each day. Full certification is preferred but we would be willing to consider teachers with other certifications or alternative certification candidates.
