Job Summary:
This position is for a CT Technician at a 151-bed community hospital. The technician will perform a variety of CT exams including general scans biopsies/drains cardiac imaging radiation treatment planning and scans for research using Siemens 128 Definition and Siemens Force 256 scanners. The role involves rotating call requirements and working 12-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans including general scans biopsies/drains cardiac imaging and radiation treatment planning.
- Perform CT procedures such as Abdomen Pelvis Head/Neck Chest Spine Musculoskeletal Aspirations/Biopsies Colonography CT Arthrography Drainage CTAs and Multiplanar Reconstruction.
- Competently perform peripheral IV insertions.
- Utilize EPIC and McKesson systems for documentation and patient management.
- Participate in rotating call schedule including weekend coverage.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Assist in emergency situations.
- Data entry into electronic medical database systems.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Technician.
- Experience with adolescents adults and geriatrics.
- Experience in Outpatient Inpatient ER and Adult ICU settings.
- Proficiency in IV Starts and Contrast administration.
- Experience with Siemens 128 Definition and Siemens Force 256 scanners.
- ARRT (CT) certification.
- BLS certification.
- Competent in peripheral IV insertions.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Skills with Neonates peds and infants.
- Experience in a Level I Trauma center.
- Experience in a Community Hospital setting.
- Experience with Biopsies and Myelography.
- Experience with Radiation Therapy Planning.
Special Considerations:
- Rotating call requirements including weekend coverage.
- RTO after booking is not allowed.
- Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly turn into a Cancel and DNR.
- Must be fully available with no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes.
- Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start.
Scheduling:
- 12-hour day shifts: 08:00 - 20:30 Wednesday Thursday Friday.
- Rotating call requirements (Weekend) are from 10p on Friday until 7a the following Monday.
- Scheduling is per unit needs.
