Financial Reporting Analyst

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Financial Reporting Analyst to join a highly collaborative business systems and finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with financial data building reporting tools and supporting business leaders with actionable insights.

As a Financial Reporting Analyst you will play an important role in developing financial reporting solutions that support decision-making across multiple departments including Finance Business Development Human Resources and leadership teams. You will work with modern reporting tools and databases to design automate and maintain reports that improve efficiency and data visibility across the organization.

This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your technical and analytical expertise will directly support operational and strategic initiatives. The role can be based in any U.S. office or performed fully remotely within the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop ad-hoc financial reports and dashboards supporting Finance Business Development Attorney Development Human Resources business units practice groups and firm leadership.
Design and create new reporting tools and automated reporting processes using Power BI PowerApps SSRS MS SQL Excel VBA and CMS DocuDraft.
Manage both automated and manual distribution of reports using internal and industry reporting tools.
Participate in the month-end close process including system reconciliation data verification and publication of financial reports.
Support and maintain internal finance reporting applications and tools.
Troubleshoot enhance and optimize existing reports and reporting systems.
Assist with application upgrade projects and system improvements.
Play an active role in UI and back-end testing during system updates.
Provide training and support to finance teams and staff on financial reporting tools and systems.
Deliver accurate and timely financial data to support daily operations financial analysis and strategic initiatives.
Manage user access and security permissions across financial tools and reporting systems.
Collaborate with the applications support team to provide high-level troubleshooting and technical support.
Maintain open communication with users and department leaders to ensure reporting tools meet evolving business needs.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and customer service for internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance Computer Science Business Information Systems or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting data analytics or business systems support.
Experience in a professional services environment is preferred; law firm experience is strongly desired.
Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
Experience designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
Advanced knowledge of SSRS MS SQL stored procedures and Excel VBA.
Experience with Excel queries and pivot tables.
Familiarity with data transfer techniques and data integration processes.
Knowledge of Aderant Expert / CMS DocuDraft is a plus.
Experience with Elite Enterprise Elite 3E or other professional services financial applications is highly desirable.
Experience with PowerApps is a plus.
Familiarity with source control tools such as MS Visual SourceSafe SourceGear or DevOps preferred.
Strong ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
