About the Role:

A leading global law firm is seeking a Public Finance Paralegal to join its Austin office and support attorneys working on public finance transactions. This role offers an opportunity to become deeply involved in complex financing matters while working alongside experienced legal professionals in a collaborative environment.

As a Public Finance Paralegal you will play a critical role in coordinating transaction processes managing documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements. You will help guide transactions from initiation through closing supporting attorneys by managing the operational and administrative aspects of financing deals so they can focus on legal strategy negotiations and client advisory work.

This role is ideal for a highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing complex workflows working with multiple stakeholders and supporting high-value transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and track financing schedules to ensure transactions remain on timeline.
• Maintain consistency across transaction documents including defined terms formatting authorized signatories and structural components.
• Coordinate transaction closing schedules ensuring signatories are available and documents are finalized in preparation for closing.
• Assist with preparation and filing of reports with governmental agencies including IRS tax documents state debt issuance filings and required ballot measure election filings.
• Conduct basic research and review statutory and administrative procedures relevant to public finance transactions.
• Facilitate the review of borrower organizational documentation project materials and due diligence documents.
• Assist with drafting and fact-checking issuer and borrower securities disclosure documents and bond sale materials.

Once assigned to a transaction the Paralegal will remain involved from beginning to end ensuring continuity and consistency throughout the financing process. For clients who engage in multiple transactions the Paralegal may support multiple deals for the same client and become a key point of contact for the financing team.

In many transactions the Paralegal plays a central role and may contribute as much time and coordination effort as the primary attorney making this position essential to successful deal execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree from an accredited four-year institution or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum two years of paralegal or relevant transactional experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems.
• Willingness to learn and apply AI tools where appropriate to support workflow efficiency.
• Experience or background in transactional work.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a client-service oriented mindset.
• Ability to think proactively and creatively to solve problems.
• Aptitude to develop detailed knowledge of complex legal and financial procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment under deadlines.
• Flexibility with work hours to meet transaction demands.
• Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
• Familiarity with title and survey review is preferred but not required.
