Cloud Architect

Cloud Architect (typically a Senior Principal or Executive Director level) leads the strategy design and governance of secure scalable and resilient cloud platforms with a heavy emphasis on AWS.

Responsibilities include defining cloud-native architectures managing migration roadmaps and embedding security (DevSecOps) in a highly regulated financial environment.

This role is strategic focusing on governance rather than hands-on engineering.

Define target-state cloud architectures including Amazon Web Services (AWS) adoption and modernization from on-premise systems.

Establish maintain and enforce cloud security compliance and risk management standards (e.g. NIST ISO CIS benchmarks).

Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership mentoring technical teams and collaborating with developers risk and infrastructure teams to ensure alignment with business goals.

Lead architecture reviews evaluate new technologies and create design patterns for application development.

Proven experience in cloud architecture for large complex and highly regulated enterprises preferably in financial services.

Deep knowledge of AWS cloud services including IAM networking security controls and governance.

Strong leadership communication and strategic thinking abilities with experience in building DevSecOps models.

Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Information Security or a related field.
