An exciting opportunity is available for a Researcher specialising in Space Science to join a leading scientific research environment. The successful candidate will contribute to advanced research support scientific innovation and assist in developing the next generation of researchers within the field of space science.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced research and development in a space science related field
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals
- Develop and participate in national and international research collaborations
- Present lectures seminars and research findings
- Contribute to postgraduate student development and supervision
- Participate in outreach and science advancement initiatives
- Assist with research administration and project activities
- Strong analytical and research capabilities
- Excellent scientific writing and publication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Programming skills preferably Python
- PhD in Space Science Space Physics Applied Mathematics or Engineering
- 35 years experience in a research role
- Proven research and publication track record
- Experience with research proposal writing and academic presentations
- Experience supervising or mentoring postgraduate students is advantageous
- Research experience in Solar Physics or Heliophysics is beneficial
