Job Summary
- Review customer specifications to identify engineering requirements including accessories
- Prepares mechanical designs with 3D CAD software
- Prepares general arrangement drawings for customer review
- Performs design reviews and technical discussions with customers as required explaining or resolving technical matters
- Performs structural design and calculations
- Performs industrial ventilation calculations
- Prepares bill of materials (BOMs) and bill of routing.
- Prepares manufacturing technical drawings for production
- Researches and develops solutions for improvements to current product lines
- Specifies system components or direct modification of products
- Ensures designs conform to engineering design standards and practices as well as agreed-upon specifications
- Provides manufacturing support and assistance for product and prototype build
- As may be necessary assists with the building of machinery utilizing parts tools fasteners etc
