School Year Only The position will end at the conclusion of the current school year. Depending on 2026-2027 staffing needs hires may be offered an additional role after continuing staff have been placed for the 2026-2027 school year.
Hours Per Day: 6.5
Shift: TBD at this time. Shift subject to change.
Location: Redmond Elementary School

Hourly Rate: $29.75/hour (Salary Schedule SC7) position is eligible for membership in the Teamsters Local Union No. 763 which is part of the Lake Washington School District Trades Bargaining Council No. 763 (TBC).

Job Summary:
Assists teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students of all educational levels who have physical or behavioral needs or are medically fragile. Supports students special health care needs and develops daily living and behavioral skills. Assists staff with classroom preparation and retrieval use and storage of equipment and supplies. May supervise and assist students in library classrooms resource rooms self-contained classroom playgrounds or getting on and off a bus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent. Must hold an Associate degree (AA) or higher OR have completed two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter credit hours OR have passed an Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment documenting a score of 455 or higher OR have passed the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of 220 or higher. Official documentation will be required upon hire.
