The Department of Anesthesia is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist to service both sites who would have access to available resources within the Department of Anesthesia for emergency and elective surgery. The successful candidate will be working with a strong supportive and collegial team in a two-site community hospital organization committed to providing high quality comprehensive clinical services.
Mackenzie Health also offers exciting research opportunities through its newly established Office of Clinical Research fostering innovation and collaboration in clinical care. There will also be unique academic and teaching opportunities for our clinical teams at the York University School of Medicine opening in 2028 located in the Vaughan Healthcare Centre Precinct directly next to the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital.
Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and willing to work within interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide elective and emergent anesthetic care.
- Surgical services include general orthopedic obstetrics/gynecology otolaryngology plastics urology vascular thoracic dentistry and endoscopy.
- Provide care to the Consultation Clinic and Acute Pain Management for post-operative patients.

Education Certification License
- Ability to work Independent or provisional licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) or eligibility for licensure is required.
- Completion of post graduate training in Anesthesiology.
- Certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCPC) in Anesthesiology.
- Canadian Medical Protection Association or equivalent in good standing.
