Yarrawonga Health is currently seekingdynamic and experienced Associate Nurse Unit Managers (ANUMs)to join ourAcute Unitteam. This is your opportunity to take on a leadership role within a highly respected healthcare organisation where quality care and supportive teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.
About the Role
As anAssociate Nurse Unit Manager you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our Acute Unit. Youll play a vital leadership role in coordinating patient care guiding and mentoring staff and ensuring delivery of person-centred high-quality healthcare.
You will:
- Supervise and support nursing staff in delivering holistic care
- Champion best practice clinical standards
- Promote a safe inclusive and positive workplace culture
- Support the physical and emotional wellbeing of patients and families through respectful and compassionate care
Our Acute Unit operates 24/7 including public holidays and weekends with staff rotating across all shifts.
What Youll Need
Qualifications:
- Current registration as aRegistered Nurse with AHPRA
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Advanced Life Support (ALS)certification
- First Line Emergency Care (FLEC)course completion
Essential Experience & Skills:
- Minimum3 years experienceas a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated leadership and clinical coordination skills
- Experience in Acute or Urgent Care settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making in complex clinical situations
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement and staff development
Desirable:
- Previous ANUM experience in Acute or Urgent Care
- Leadership or management training (e.g. graduate certificates or short courses)
- Experience in palliative care
- Advanced skills in person-centred care and critical thinking
