As a Business Process Owner you are responsible for the end-to-end ownership of the Inventory Management and Internal Stock Transfer processes. You play a pivotal role in aligning inventory strategies with enterprise goals driving operational excellence and ensuring seamless stock movement across our global network. You act as a strategic integrator ensuring that inventory planning requirements technology solutions and global logistics structures are seamlessly aligned. This includes leading the design of Intercompany and Intracompany transfer flows governing process performance and ensuring that our inventory footprint delivers maximum business value with minimal friction.
Yourroleandresponsibilities
Process Ownership: End-to-end responsibility for L1/L2 processes related to Inventory Planning Stock Management and Global Stock Transfers.
Global Connectivity: Ownership of the vision for how goods move between legal entities (Intercompany) and within the same entity (Intracompany) to optimize availability.
Matrix Collaboration: Operating in a global environment collaborating with Supply Chain Finance (for intercompany billing) IT and Data Governance.
1. Strategic Inventory Ownership
Define and govern the vision for Inventory management and Stock Transfer processes.
Design and maintain maturity roadmaps for automated replenishment and stock balancing.
Ensure integration between physical stock movement financial flows and digital ERP frameworks.
2. Detailed Process Design & Implementation
Lead the design and deployment of Level 3 (L3) processes for stock counting and transfer order management.
Standardize Intercompany and Intracompany transfer protocols balancing global efficiency with local compliance requirements.
Translate complex supply chain requirements into scalable future-proof process designs that reduce lead times and dead stock.
3. Change Management & Adoption
Deploy change management strategies to shift the organization toward data-driven inventory planning.
Partner with regional hubs to ensure new stock transfer workflows are understood and adopted.
Act as a bridge between the central Transformation Office and local warehouse/planning teams.
4. Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
Define and monitor KPIs such as Inventory Turn Transfer Lead Time Stock Accuracy and Intercompany Reconciliation health.
Conduct root cause analysis on stockouts or overstock situations to refine planning logic.
Promote Lean and Agile methodologies to eliminate waste within the internal supply chain.
5. Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
Act as the key business partner for Supply Chain Leaders Finance (Intercompany) and IT.
Represent the Inventory domain in transformation boards and global governance forums.
Manage the RACI structures specifically for stock ownership transitions during transfers.
Howtosucceed/Yourprofile
Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management Business or Engineering.
5 years of experience in Inventory Management Demand Planning or Intercompany Logistics.
Proven success in designing end-to-end stock movement processes in a global multi-entity environment.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle SAP) and how they handle stock transfers and inventory balancing.
Deep expertise in Inventory Planning methodologies (EOQ Safety Stock logic Reorder points).
Strong understanding of Intercompany dynamics including transfer pricing impacts and cross-border stock movement.
Proficiency in process modeling (BPMN) and tools like Jira or LeanIX.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex logistical flows to both IT and executive stakeholders.
