Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Butner NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and respond to routine situations with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license and an armed post. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government corrections location by following site-specific security-related procedures post orders and applicable regulations.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings grounds and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; monitor for unusual conditions and report findings.
- Respond to alarms disturbances medical calls and other critical incidents in a calm problem-solving manner; coordinate with on-site staff and/or law enforcement as directed.
- Control access at designated points by checking identification verifying authorization screening visitors and property as required and maintaining an orderly flow of traffic.
- Complete detailed incident reports patrol logs and shift documentation; maintain proper care accountability and authorized use of issued equipment consistent with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
