Under the supervision of the Department Director and Radiology Supervisor and in conjunction with radiologists this position entails executing advanced diagnostic imaging procedures while adhering to age-specific protocols and departmental standards.
The role encompasses responsibilities as a customer service liaison for patients their families the general public and medical staff.
Key functions include participation in quality control initiatives and organizational improvement activities.
This position also serves as a technical and clinical mentor for junior radiologic technologists in the department. The technologist will engage in a call rotation to fulfill the departments staffing requirements and may be required to travel to off-site locations to perform radiographic or fluoroscopic procedures when necessary.
**Required Qualifications:**-
**Education/Training:** Graduation from a radiologic technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation of the American Medical Association.
- California Radiologic Technologist certification required upon hire.
- Current National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required upon hire.
**Preferred Qualifications:**- Previous experience as a hospital-based radiographer is highly desirable.
