Job Description
We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow SAM Pro Analyst / Software Asset Management Engineer to act as the technical authority for ServiceNow Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro). This role is responsible for platform configuration software model governance data integrity and troubleshooting across SAM Pro processes. The ideal candidate has strong experience managing SAM Pro tables performing normalization and reconciliation and working closely with CMDB and Discovery teams to resolve inventory issues

Key Responsibilities
ServiceNow SAM Pro Configuration & Maintenance
Configure and maintain SAM Pro tables software models and associated metadata.
Manage normalization and reconciliation logic to ensure accurate SAM Pro processing.
Maintain and troubleshoot product discovery software and entitlement tables to support reliable software asset lifecycle management.
Data Quality Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution
Troubleshoot data quality issues across discovery sources product catalog entries licensing data and entitlement tables.
Identify and remediate issues in problematic product/software tables.
Act as the technical authority ensuring data accuracy integrity and consistency across the SAM Pro platform.
Software Model & License Management
Manage publisher packs product catalog mappings and license calculations.
Configure and monitor reclamation rules to optimize license utilization and compliance.
CrossTeam Collaboration
Partner with CMDB and Discovery teams to resolve inventory discrepancies mapping issues and data alignment challenges.
Collaborate with IT stakeholders to support application identification software classification and normalization improvements.
Platform Enhancements & Upgrades
Support ServiceNow platform upgrades SAM Pro enhancements and feature expansions.
Ensure SAM Pro configuration remains compatible with updated platform versions and new features.
Essential Skills
Strong hands-on expertise serving as the technical authority for ServiceNow SAM Pro including configuration data governance and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in working with SAM Pro data structures normalization logic reconciliation rules and entitlement tables.
Strong understanding of database concepts data relationships and troubleshooting across DBMSlike structures within ServiceNow.
Ability to collaborate effectively with CMDB Discovery and ITSM teams.
