Senior Backend Engineer

This role focuses on transforming the manufacturing industry by structuring complex data and turning it into valuable information assets. You will be responsible for backend development taking ownership of technical selection and architectural design to create high-quality scalable software.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Lead technical selection and architectural decision-making for a rapidly expanding service and organization.
  

• System Architecture: Build backend applications with a strong focus on long-term maintainability and operational sustainability.
  

• Strategic Alignment: Formulate and execute technical strategies that align with broader business objectives.
  

• Roadmap Planning: Propose and drive technical improvements and feasibility assessments based on the long-term product roadmap.
  

• Development Excellence: Lead efforts to solve productivity challenges through CI/CD optimization (specifically Docker environments) coding standards and the implementation of schema-driven development.
  

Requirements

Must-Have

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience leading development by reducing product uncertainty through technical expertise.
  

• Architecture Design: Experience leading architectural design that accounts for non-functional requirements medium-to-long-term maintainability and scalability.
  

• Critical Selection: Ability to evaluate the pros and cons of languages frameworks and libraries (especially for logging monitoring and user events) while balancing technical and business needs.
  

• Infrastructure Skills: Experience designing and building service infrastructure for asynchronous jobs.
  

• Delivery Management: Experience improving delivery quality lead time and productivity in projects involving multiple stakeholders through systematic methods (requirements definition scheduling progress management).
  

• Language: Fluent business-level Japanese communication (equivalent to JLPT N2 and above)
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Language Proficiency: Experience with static typing languages (e.g. Rust Scala) and Docker-native infrastructure.
  

• Advanced Patterns: Expertise in microservices Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and leading improvements based on Scrum or Agile methodologies.
  

• Full-Stack Awareness: Knowledge of frontend or cloud infrastructure (e.g. Google Cloud) to contribute to surrounding design areas.
  

• English: Business-level English proficiency.
