PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Instructional Specialist Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) Campus supports the implementation of the Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) instructional model by providing targeted academic interventions to students and instructional coaching to Instructional Specialist works collaboratively with campus leadership instructional coaches and teachers to strengthen instructional practices support data-driven instruction and accelerate student achievement.
The Instructional Specialist plays a critical role in the campus instructional leadership structure by supporting the continuous cycle of instructional planning classroom observation feedback and data analysis that drives improved teaching and learning.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas teaching certificateappropriate forassignment
Preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful classroom teaching experience
- Experience providing targeted academic intervention in reading or mathematics
- Experience coaching teachers or supporting instructional improvement initiatives
- Experience working in high-needs or turnaround campuses
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
- Excellent motivational skills with teachers and students
- Strong knowledge of curriculum instruction and research-based teaching strategies
- Knowledge of district instructional programs and intervention systems
- Ability to analyze student achievement data to guide instructional decisions
- Experience coaching and modeling instructional strategies for teachers
- Ability to evaluate student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers administrators and instructional leadership teams
- Flexibility and patience when working with teachers and students
- Ability to support instructional implementation across multiple grade levels and content areas
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Instructional Support and Student Intervention
- Provide direct instruction and targeted intervention to students identified as academically at risk.
- Deliver small-group and individualized intervention services aligned with campus instructional priorities.
- Implement research-based intervention strategies designed to accelerate student learning.
- Monitor and track student progress during intervention cycles and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Support the implementation of literacy and numeracy strategies that strengthen foundational academic skills.
- Monitor the academic progress of students receiving interventions andmaintainaccurate documentation.
Data Analysis and Instructional Improvement
- Analyze student performance data toidentifytrends learning gaps and instructional needs.
- Support teachers and campus leadership in using data to guide instructional planning and intervention strategies.
- Participate in campus data cycles focused on improving instructional effectiveness and student outcomes.
- Assistwith the development and implementation of targeted academic support plans for students.
Coaching and Teacher Support
- Model effective instructional practices and strategies in classrooms.
- Provide instructional coaching and feedback to teachers to support improved instructional practices.
- Support teachers in differentiatinginstructionto meet diverse student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers to strengthen lesson planning and instructional delivery.
- Maintain ongoing communication with classroom teachers and administratorsregardingstudent progress and instructional strategies.
Professional Learning and Collaboration
- Lead and activelyparticipatein Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to support school-wide instructional improvement.
- Participate in campus instructional leadership meetings and collaborative planning sessions.
- Work closely with the campus Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) to support implementation of the ACE instructional model.
- Participate in district-level professional development to remain current on research-based instructional practices.
- Participate in all required professional development and training which may occur within or outside the regular instructional day or employee work calendar as part of the ACE instructional model.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: physical mobility standing prolonged sitting some lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling.
Mental demands include the ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations; interpret and analyze multiple forms of data; apply knowledge of current educational research and instructional practices; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; andmaintainemotional control under stress.
The position may require participation in professional development collaborative planning sessions and instructional meetings beyond the standard school day as part of the ACE instructional model.
