Griffith Rehabilitation Hospital is situated in the beachside suburb of Hove. As the only stand-alone rehabilitation hospital we pride ourselves on our exceptional patient care and dedication to our patients and their outcomes. We are the only standalone rehabilitation hospital in South Australia offering inpatient services with 64 beds as well as comprehensive outpatient programs.
The successful applicant will be required to work in a team approach to help the hospital be responsive to patients and their needs in a manner that maintains appropriate professional boundaries and care. The position includes individual liaising with patients and working alongside management to provide insights into the patients experience.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has lived experience as a patient carer or user of healthcare services
- Feels comfortable sharing perspectives and providing constructive feedback
- Is able to represent the broader consumer viewpoint not only personal experiences
- Has good communication and listening skills
- Can participate respectfully in discussions with staff and other stakeholders
- Is not currently working as a health professional (e.g. nurse doctor allied health clinician)
