Job Description
As a Security Officer - Route Driver Patrol in Sterling VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech data center location as an unarmed patrol officer. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents support access control and badge checks and respond to alarms and service requests with clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license. Bring your customer service mindset to a team that is agile reliable innovative and guided by integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a high-tech data center location.
- Control access to the facility by monitoring entry points checking identification and/or credentials managing visitor check-in and documenting arrivals and departures per site policy.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating notifications supporting evacuations and completing detailed reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including building perimeters loading areas parking areas and critical infrastructure spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor alarms cameras and other site systems as assigned investigate irregular conditions and communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
- CPR Certification - preferred.
- Customer Service Experience - preferred.
- Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
