Position Information:
The Maintenance team is pleased to announce immediate openings for general summer help. Under supervision hourly maintenance positions are needed to assist in a variety of tasks and activities to maintain properties and facilities within the Edmonds School District.
- Weeding landscapes
- Line-trimming edging
- Spreading of soil aggregate play chips and bark
- Painting and line striping
- HVAC/ Mechanical support
- Other duties as assigned or needed by the Maintenance Department.
Guest Position:This role involves various shift times and operates on an on-call basis depending on projects. Work hours including start and end times are subject to change based on district needs. Please note that extra duty employment is at-will and there is no guaranteed minimum of hours or days per week.
FLSA Status:Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate:$22.00 per hour
Shift Details:From 7:00am-3:30pm; Mondayï½Friday; July 6 2026ï½August 31 2026
RequiredQualifications
- Must be 18 years old.
- Work must be provided onsite and in person. Must maintain physical presence at assigned location(s).
- Required to be punctual and follow directions of Maintenance team members.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and walk for extensive periods of time. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to stoop kneel crouch squat or bend.
- Physical ability to bend stoop twist and work in and around tight spaces and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- May work outdoors in extreme heat humidity and direct sunlight. Exposure to dust pollen and noise.
- Requires hand-eye coordination to operate power tools and perform minor repairs.
- Requiredto wear all required personal protective equipment specific to the task given.

The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) provides access to health care services. Our benefits are provided to eligible positions through SEBB (School Employees Benefits Board). Eligibility for SEBB state health insurance coverage is determined by working 630 hours during the school year.
Eligibility for a state retirement plan through the Department of Retirement Systems (DRS) is determined upon hire and is based on a variety of factors.
