Job Description
As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Entry Control in Manassas VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an Allied Universal Officer at a leading tech and data center location you will focus on access control and a strong badge and visitor experience helping manage entry points verifying credentials and guiding guests with professional service. You will complete routine patrols document security-related activity and communicate clearly with site teams using computers and/or tablets. Bring integrity teamwork and an agile mindset to support a reliable people-first environment.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel vendors and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and emergency response activities as needed.
- Control access to the location by verifying identification issuing and collecting visitor credentials maintaining visitor and delivery logs and directing guests to authorized areas.
- Monitor entry and exit points gates doors and loading areas for unusual activity report concerns to site contacts and document actions taken.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating notifications assisting with evacuations as directed and completing required reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including perimeter checks to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid is preferred.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
