Essential Responsibilities:
Supervise all aspects of civil construction operations ensuring compliance with approved plans specifications and company standards
Maintain high-quality workmanship while optimizing labor and material efficiency
Enforce site safety protocols that meet or exceed corporate client and regulatory requirements
Monitor and update construction schedules to meet milestones and production targets
Review supplier and subcontractor invoices for accuracy and report discrepancies
Hire and manage hourly field staff in coordination with the Project Manager
Prepare and process field change orders with client representatives as needed
Lead planning meetings with Maintenance and Operations to ensure equipment readiness and operational continuity
Qualifications:
510 years of experience in a supervisory role within heavy civil construction with a strong focus on earthworks
Proven ability to manage project schedules and adapt to changing site conditions
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify solutions to complex challenges
Effective communicator who can tailor messaging to various stakeholders
Collaborative leader who fosters teamwork and consensus
Willingness to travel and remain on-site for the duration of projects
Working Conditions:
Site based position
Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting standing bending climbing lifting (up to 75 pounds) working at heights in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions (rain snow heat etc.)
Ability to work a non-traditional schedule that could include nights and weekends
