Liquid Personnel is seeking a dedicated Locum Occupational Therapist to join its clients Urgent Response OT Team in Barnet. This is a fastpaced handson role completing urgent community OT assessments across the Barnet borough supporting residents with immediate needs relating to safety moving & handling equipment and functional independence.
The team is small wellsupported and led by an experienced Team Manager and Lead Practitioner who provide strong daytoday guidance.
What will your responsibilities be
- Completeurgent OT assessmentsacross the Barnet borough.
- Manage a busy caseload requiringquick turnaroundand effective prioritisation.
- Carry outextensive manual handling assessments including hoists slings transfer plans and safe systems of work.
- Completecommunity visitsto assess risk function and equipment needs.
- Participate in1 day of OT Dutyas part of the weekly rota.
- Recommend and arrange appropriateequipment and minor adaptations.
- Work collaboratively with social workers health colleagues carers and partner agencies.
- Provide fast defensible clinical decisions in a pressured urgentresponse environment.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with service standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree / Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Significant experience in:
- Urgent response / rapid OT services
- Manual handling(essential)
- Community-based assessments
- Must be able to workfull-time MondayFridaywithin the stated hours.
- Must be acar driverand live locally enough to respond to urgent cases.
- Strong ability to work independently within a supportive but fast-moving team
