Position SummaryThe General Manager - The Luxury Collection Muscat Grand Blue City Oman will serve as the visionary leader of this preopening luxury resort guiding all aspects of the hotels development culture service philosophy and market positioning. This role requires an accomplished luxury hospitality executive with demonstrated success operating worldclass resorts ideally within the Middle East. The General Manager will steward The Luxury Collection brand values curate elevated guest experiences and lead a diverse team to deliver an exceptional and authentic sense of place.
Key Responsibilities PreOpening Leadership- Lead all preopening activities including operational planning critical path development recruitment training and brand implementation.
- Collaborate closely with Marriott International teams ownership and project stakeholders to ensure timely and seamless readiness for July 2027 opening.
- Establish all operational standards guest experience touchpoints and service culture aligned with The Luxury Collection brand.
Strategic & Commercial Excellence- Develop and execute the resorts commercial strategy to position the hotel as a leading luxury destination in Oman and the region.
- Deliver strong financial performance through effective revenue management cost controls asset management and market positioning.
- Build strategic partnerships within Grand Blue City Muscat and the global luxury travel community.
Guest Experience & Brand Stewardship- Ensure every guest encounter reflects authenticity elevated service and deep cultural connection consistent with The Luxury Collection ethos.
- Champion personalized meaningful experiences powered by local traditions storytelling and intuitive hospitality.
- Uphold all brand standards while fostering opportunities to create distinctive moments that define the propertys identity.
Team Leadership & Culture- Recruit inspire and mentor a high-performing team committed to excellence and a guestcentric mindset.
- Foster an inclusive empowering environment that embraces diversity collaboration and continuous learning.
- Model The Luxury Collections values of curiosity worldliness and exceptional service.
Operations & Owner Relations- Oversee all operational departments including Rooms F&B Spa & Wellness Engineering Sales & Marketing and Finance.
- Maintain a transparent solutions-driven partnership with ownership providing regular communication on performance opportunities and long-term strategy.
- Ensure compliance with Marriott International standards local regulations and sustainability goals.
Candidate Profile Required Experience- Proven track record as a General Manager within luxury hotels or resorts; resort leadership experience is essential.
- Middle East hospitality experience is required; prior Oman or GCC resort openings are highly advantageous.
- Expertise in preopening luxury operations destination positioning and team development.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success driving results in competitive luxury markets.
Skills & Attributes- Naturally curious culturally aware and passionate about creating authentic guest experiences.
- A strategic thinker with exceptional leadership presence and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and nurture a culture of excellence.
- Fluent English required; Arabic not essential but considered an asset.
- Diplomatic confident and adept at navigating complex stakeholder relationships.
