What youll be doing:
The Quality & Risk Coordinator is the first point of contact for quality and risk related matters within the organization and responds to inquiries and complaints from internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitors patient relations (client feedback and complaints) liaising with the appropriate manager and documenting monitoring and closing complaints in accordance with organizational policy and legislative requirements
- Maintain legislation compliance activities by facilitating the review of existing policies
- Identify new policies maintain compliance to relevant legislation
- Support the monitoring of operational compliance with policy
- Maintain policy and procedure archives
- Maintain monitor and request updates for HHC Manual and Emergency Code Manual and communicate to staff
- Document procedures both internal and external to the department with process maps
- Coordinate maintenance of Risk Class Guidelines for all programs
- Responsible for the Unusual Occurrence Report System
- Support Quality of Care Information Protection Act (QCIPA) and reviews as required
- Act as Complaints Officer by monitoring the complaints process
- Collate information developed through Lean-Six Sigma initiatives.
What were looking for:
- 2-3 years progressive experience as a risk management professional in a healthcare setting
- 2 year Community College diploma required in Health or Business Administration
- Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation preferred
- Knowledge of risk management privacy confidentiality and security of information
- Knowledge of federal provincial and other relevant legislation
- Strong organizational analytical investigative written and oral communication
- Strong project planning and implementation skills
- Ability to work well and interact with all levels of management and staff patients and external sources
- Excellent judgment problem resolution and decision making abilities combined with integrity
