Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Railcar Loader to join our team. As a Railcar Loader you will play a crucial role in our transportation operations ensuring the safe and efficient loading and unloading of railcars.

  • Conduct thorough visual inspections of railcars to ensure mechanical soundness and identify any defects prior to loading or unloading.
  • Prepare railcars for loading by opening manways and installing appropriate loading arms or hoses.
  • Load specific products into railcars using loading manifests accurately measuring and recording volumes and temperatures.
  • Secure railcars for shipping according to Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) standards.
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation including checklists and manifests.
  • Work collaboratively in a team setting both at ground level and on elevated railcar loading racks.
  • Adhere to and promote a behavioral-based safety system to achieve zero-loss goals.
  • Perform duties in various weather conditions and during rotating shifts including days and nights.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-1 years of relevant work experience or equivalent education.
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing drivers abstract and criminal background checks.
  • Physical fitness to perform loading and unloading tasks and work outdoors for entire shifts.
  • Strong attention to detail for conducting inspections and maintaining accurate records.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and recording product volumes.
  • Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work rotating on-call shifts weekends holidays and overtime as needed.
  • Commitment to following safety protocols and regulations.
  • Comfortable working at heights on railcar loading racks.
  • Previous experience in a petroleum refinery or similar industrial setting is a strong asset.
  • Valid drivers license may be required.
