Job Summary

THE SELECTED CANDIDATE WILL BE OFFERED A SALARY OF $53862.00.

Administration for Childrens Services (ACS) protects and promotes the safety and well-being of children and families through child welfare and juvenile justice services and community supports. ACS manages community-based supports and foster care services and provides subsidized childcare vouchers. ACS child protection staff respond to allegations of child juvenile justice ACS oversees detention placement and programs for youth in the community.

The ACS Division of Financial Services (DFS) is responsible for supporting planning implementing and monitoring the fiscal functions of the agency in accordance with City State and Federal guidelines. The work of DFS includes managing the ACS budget; submission of monthly claims for revenue; processing of payments to provider agencies and vendors; monitoring the financial health of provider agencies through financial review and audits; maintenance of the ACS bank accounts; centralized oversight of ACS Child Welfare financial eligibility; and data maintenance for financial systems of record.

The Systems Support Office (SSO) was created to consolidate user support perform Connections system approvals and centralize all Activities (aka CCRS) & WMS data entry previous performed by staff across multiple ACS divisions. The SSO has five functional areas responsible for performing a multitude of tasks necessary for ACS program areas and contract agencies to deliver child welfare services to New York City Children and Families.

CSPF specific duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Collect and analyze statistical and other quantitative data employing standard data collection and statistical techniques to produce summary descriptive or projective results for agency decision making.
- Compare work completed with milestone expectations to meet program and unit objectives.
- Prepare distribute and schedule work activities and assignments based on the duration of activities and assignments to be performed.
- Analyze department business processes and existing technology recommend needed changes and enhancement and work with IT and other departments to implement solutions.
- Liaison with ACS Office of IT to develop and repair technical tools and maintain project reports for entire department.
- Assist with finalizing Family First reporting needs and create reports to track preventive cases. This will be a long term project that needs to be completed every month.
- Attend meetings to understand the initiative and analyze the best approach to retrieve the data.
- Assist with the innovation and development of electronic means of tracking CEO eligibility determinations to support measurable outcome accountability and transparency.
- Lastly the fellow will be trained on how to run Oracle reports and must be familiar with SQL language to create new reports.

Qualifications :

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited CUNY college in a major related to the work in which the fellow will be trained and perform in the particular position.
